z Catalyst Control Center - Basic now responds properly after exiting Quick Adjust
Video Settings
z Edge enhancement and de-noise sliders in Catalyst Control Center no longer lags or
appears out of sync with mouse movement
z Launching Hotkeys Manager in Catalyst Control Center no longer causes an
unhandled exception error
z The "Desktop Rotation" page in Catalyst Control Center no longer shows additional
information for the second display when the secondary adapter is connected
z HDMI is now detected properly as DTV (HDMI) instead of DTV (DVI) when the
HDMI display is hotplugged for the first time
z Catalyst Control Center no longer displays error message when specific HDMI
displays are hot unplugged and hotplugged back
Resolved Issues for the Windows 7 Operating System
This section provides information on resolved issues in this release of the ATI Catalyst™
Software Suite for Windows 7. These include:
z Intermittent failures no longer occur with MediaShow Espresso once a transcoding
process has been completed
Resolved Issues for the Windows Vista Operating System
This section provides information on resolved issues in this release of the ATI Catalyst™
Software Suite for Windows Vista. These include:
z Running OpenGL applications in windowed mode on extended desktop no longer
causes the secondary display to go blank for some ASICs
z Task switching between the desktop and a game in progress no longer has a visible
delay (7-10 seconds)

z Enabling Screen Space Ambient Occlusion option in "Riddick 2 Dark Athena" no
longer causes the game to fail under Multi-GPU configurations

z Windows Aero Glass Effects now works properly during HD Blu-ray playback
Resolved Issues for the Windows XP Operating System
This section provides information on resolved issues in this release of the ATI Catalyst™
Software Suite for Windows XP. These include:
z Resuming video playback after S1 sleep no longer causes HDMI audio to disappear
z Changes to AVIVO Basic color settings are now retained after Catalyst Control
Center is re-opened
z AVIVO Basic color setting changes can now be applied during HD DVD playback
on specific ASICs on XP Media Center Edition
Known Issues Under All Windows Operating Systems
The following section provides a summary of open issues that may be experienced under
the Windows operating system in the latest version of Catalyst™. These include:
z AVIVO Basic quality video preview in Catalyst Control Center may flicker while
playing SD/HD Blu-ray titles with some ASICs
z Underscan/Overscan settings for TV might not be applied properly from the Catalyst
Control Center - TV Properties Adjustments page
z Display mode page might not refresh when selecting another display from drop down
menu in Catalyst Control Center with two displays connected in extended mode
z "Component Video Properties" may be incorrectly listed in the "Quick Settings" tab
under Catalyst Control Center - Basic view in extended mode
z Corruption may be observed during Blu-ray DVD H264/VC1 content playback on
some ASICs
Known Issues Under the Windows 7 Operating System
The following section provides a summary of open issues that may be experienced under
the Windows 7 operating system in the latest version of Catalyst™. These include:
z Resuming HD/SD playback after sleep may cause PowerDVD/WinDVD to display
green or black video screen
z With OverlayMixer filter, Blu-ray disc playback with PowerDVD may display black
video with audio and counter still running
z Display may go blank after resuming from hibernation during SD DVD playback in
Media Center (MCE)
z ANNO 1404 (also known as "Dawn of Discovery") may display black texture
corruption instead of surface terrain for some ASICs
z calMemCopy() may cause a system with 2 ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2s to become
