Resolved Issues for All Windows Operating Systems

This section provides information on resolved issues in this release of the ATI Catalyst™
Software Suite for Windows. These include:

z  Catalyst Control Center - Basic now responds properly after exiting Quick Adjust
Video Settings
z  Edge enhancement and de-noise sliders in Catalyst Control Center no longer lags or
appears out of sync with mouse movement
z  Launching Hotkeys Manager in Catalyst Control Center no longer causes an
unhandled exception error
z  The "Desktop Rotation" page in Catalyst Control Center no longer shows additional
information for the second display when the secondary adapter is connected
z  HDMI is now detected properly as DTV (HDMI) instead of DTV (DVI) when the
HDMI display is hotplugged for the first time
z  Catalyst Control Center no longer displays error message when specific HDMI
displays are hot unplugged and hotplugged back

Resolved Issues for the Windows 7 Operating System

This section provides information on resolved issues in this release of the ATI Catalyst™
Software Suite for Windows 7. These include:

z  Intermittent failures no longer occur with MediaShow Espresso once a transcoding
process has been completed

Resolved Issues for the Windows Vista Operating System

This section provides information on resolved issues in this release of the ATI Catalyst™
Software Suite for Windows Vista. These include:

z  Running OpenGL applications in windowed mode on extended desktop no longer
causes the secondary display to go blank for some ASICs
z  Task switching between the desktop and a game in progress no longer has a visible
delay (7-10 seconds)

z  Enabling Screen Space Ambient Occlusion option in "Riddick 2 Dark Athena" no
longer causes the game to fail under Multi-GPU configurations
z  Catalyst Control Center no longer shows both HDMI displays as DVI when they are
connected via HDMI port and to DVI port via HDMI-DVI dongle
z  Windows Aero Glass Effects now works properly during HD Blu-ray playback

Resolved Issues for the Windows XP Operating System

This section provides information on resolved issues in this release of the ATI Catalyst™
Software Suite for Windows XP. These include:

z  Resuming video playback after S1 sleep no longer causes HDMI audio to disappear
z  Changes to AVIVO Basic color settings are now retained after Catalyst Control
Center is re-opened
z  AVIVO Basic color setting changes can now be applied during HD DVD playback
on specific ASICs on XP Media Center Edition

Known Issues Under All Windows Operating Systems

The following section provides a summary of open issues that may be experienced under
the Windows operating system in the latest version of Catalyst™. These include:

z  AVIVO Basic quality video preview in Catalyst Control Center may flicker while
playing SD/HD Blu-ray titles with some ASICs
z  Underscan/Overscan settings for TV might not be applied properly from the Catalyst
Control Center - TV Properties Adjustments page
z  Display mode page might not refresh when selecting another display from drop down
menu in Catalyst Control Center with two displays connected in extended mode
z  "Component Video Properties" may be incorrectly listed in the "Quick Settings" tab
under Catalyst Control Center - Basic view in extended mode
z  Corruption may be observed during Blu-ray DVD H264/VC1 content playback on
some ASICs

Known Issues Under the Windows 7 Operating System

The following section provides a summary of open issues that may be experienced under
the Windows 7 operating system in the latest version of Catalyst™. These include:

z  Resuming HD/SD playback after sleep may cause PowerDVD/WinDVD to display
green or black video screen
z  With OverlayMixer filter, Blu-ray disc playback with PowerDVD may display black
video with audio and counter still running
z  Display may go blank after resuming from hibernation during SD DVD playback in
Media Center (MCE)
z  ANNO 1404 (also known as "Dawn of Discovery") may display black texture
corruption instead of surface terrain for some ASICs
z  calMemCopy() may cause a system with 2 ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2s to become
unresponsive

由于9、10两月，AMD方面先后发布了5800、5700系列新型号显卡，伴随着一起放出的还有数款9.10 Beta版催化剂驱动，很多用户已经尝试了新版驱动，而更多的用户还是在等待AMD 9.10催化剂官方正式版的到来。
今天，AMD方面终于拿出了大家期待已久的9.10正式版，不过当浏览过Release notes后，有一点非常奇怪，新版驱动竟然仅支持5800系列，而不支持5700，当然我们也明白这可能和AMD方面的驱动开发周期有关，另外一种可能是为了配合微软Windows 7的正式上线，不过现在到10月底还有一周的时间，AMD大可以利用这一周时间加快测试，在10月底推出一款支持5800、5700全系显卡的催化剂9.10正式版不是更好吗？
言归正传，下面来看看催化剂9.10具体更新情况：
在新特性方面：
1、在Windows 7系统中支持GPU加速拖放视频转换程序，此功能适用于Radeon HD 5800系列、Radeon HD 5700系列、Radeon HD 4000系列
2、为ATI Radeon HD 5800开启超级采样抗锯齿功能，新版驱动提供了一项全新的抗锯齿方式，Radeon HD 5800用户可以通过使用这项功能体验到高品质的抗锯齿画面并且性能方面也不会受到太大的影响。
在BUG修正方面：
针对Windows 7系统：
1、修正《泰格伍兹高尔夫球巡回赛08》游戏中的EA Sports启动LOGO会丢失或者显示为黑屏的问题
2、修正将抗锯齿设置为8X，分辨率设置为2560x1600的模式下运行《捉鬼敢死队》，会出现游戏画面闪烁的问题
针对Vista系统：
1、修正不能正常运行《战斗任务：威慑力量》游戏的问题
2、解决在Multi-GPU配置下运行《超世纪战警暗黑雅典娜》，当开启游戏中的“Screen-Space Ambient Occlusion” (屏幕空间环境光遮蔽)选项后，会导致游戏不能正常运行的问题
针对WinXP系统：
1、解决播放Blu-ray DVD H.264/VC-1视频时，画面显示不正常的问题
2、修正将ASIC设置为首要或者次要，而后运行ATI Stream程序会导致系统重启或者出现黑屏的问题

官方支持列表中没有HD 5700系列

XPSP3装了9.10的驱动，结果和卡巴有冲突啊，进系统等了快半个小时，很慢很慢。
进了系统又等了半个小时以后正常了，总共耗费一个小时，还好有其他PC可以顶着要不晕倒了。
PS：WIN7-64没发现这个问题。

On 5850:
3DV X mode得分与10.13发布的驱动持平。
NFS13某些场景FPS瞬间大幅drop问题依旧。
