看了下,GPU继续用POWERVR,跟PSP2一样是多核MP,Cortex-A15比同频的A9快50%,OMAP5平台计算性能是OMAP4的3倍,GPU是OMAP4的5倍,但比上OMAP 4平台还要少60%功耗,基本上是多核化设计的,包括CPU,GPU,DSP...
TI预计下半年出sample,而终端产品要明年下半年...

Highest performance, lowest power...yet again
The 28 nanometer OMAP 5 applications processors carry on the OMAP family tradition of delivering significant increases in performance and functionality, while lowering power consumption compared to their predecessors. Specifically, they offer up to 3x processing performance and five-fold 3D graphics improvement, yet provide a nearly 60 percent average power reduction compared to a sample user experience on the OMAP 4 platform. Additionally, the OMAP 5 platform's software is designed for maximum reuse to ease migration from the OMAP 4 platform.

Availability
TI's OMAP 5 platform is expected to sample in the second half of 2011, with devices on the market in the second half of 2012. The OMAP5430 processor is offered in a 14x14mm Package-on-Package (PoP) with LPDDR2 memory support.  The OMAP5432 processor is offered in a 17x17mm BGA package with DDR3/DDR3L memory support.

-------如果所言不虚,那些吵着多核ARM cpu 要耗电很大的想当然言论很快就躲起来无法再出来了。

NV年底也有样片,估计还是领先Ti。只不过不像Tegra2领先的时间那么长。Tegra2是去年1月的CES上发布的。
这Ti A9双核还没有正规上市,下半年就有A15的了? 这贴估计要被挖的。

2G,这么高的频率;怎么可能还低功耗的? 工艺大牛Intel也办不到呀!频率提升了一倍以上,加了很多的性能特性,功耗还降低60%。这饼画得。。。Ti就要毁在这OMAP平台部门总经理雷米·艾尔-奥扎尼(Remi El-Ouazzane)的手上了。

德州仪器今天展示了其最先进的用于手机和平板的处理器TI OMAP 5,它基于ARM Cortex A15架构打造,2GHz频率傲视群雄,比之前的双核A9方案快50%,OMAP 4单核心方案快60%。

难不成这TI的双核A9方案只比自家的单核A8快:1.6/1.5 -1 = 6%.
这黑莓平板性能悲剧的。。。

还是那个观点,移动cpu专门以节能为特点的,平常待机应该可以关闭多核,就留一个核心在低频率运行等待唤醒即可。这样的情况下待机功耗多核跟单核没有多大区别;而在工作的时候,多核一起把同一工作的执行时间减少很多,让cpu更快完成,然后处于待机节能状态,多核的确有可能比单核要节能。

明年下半年……
今年年底4核A9的NGP就开始铺货了啊师傅,照您这个算法NGP的CPU比同频的OMAP5还快33%(虽是A9但多俩核)。
A9和Eager(A15)都是OOO的,intel估计在嵌入式这一块很难搞赢。

即将上市的的RIM Playbook就是用OMAP 4平台,过几天的MWC2011也许NOKIA会公布MEEGO系统的OMAP4平台手机.
其实现在的双核A9的性能已经很梦幻了

补充一下GPU是去年中发布的SGX544-MPX,即然是MP哪肯定不会是单核,而nvidia tegra 3宣称图形只比tegra 2快3倍..
,相比TI的5倍速图形而言提升没有优势。

nv官方就有与SGX540基准性能比较,因为这里是显卡版面,所以才着重讨论了下未来移动GPU发展趋势而已

那是工艺进步带来的,高频多核必然高能耗毫无疑问

可怜我现在还用着MOTO的XT701,CPU只是OMAP的3430,现在5系列都出来了。
