老话题了，我一直都认为xp sp3以上的系统都不用装什么所谓的amd双核补丁，但是今天下载了【蝙蝠侠阿卡姆疯人院年度版】的ISO并安装之，它自动给我按上这个双核补丁了。虽然说【蝙蝠侠阿卡姆疯人院】是09年出的游戏，但是【年度版】可是2010年年底刚刚出来的，是个dlc，这么新的游戏竟然给我装了个AMD Dual-Core Optimizer这么老的补丁。我系统是win7 32bit，什么vc++2010运行库、dx最新包之类的我全装上了，基本上按游戏不会出现给我按其他的补丁。装就装了，后来进amd文件夹，查看这个AMD Dual-Core Optimizer的readme.rtf，里面说（我摘录有关vista的）：

另外还有个 AMD Processor Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003，amd官网的下载和说明地址是： http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/ ... &ItemID=173&lang=us
这2个是不同的，通常说的关于cpu速度不稳定时快时慢的，而且基于xp sp2的那个补丁，是第二个，不是AMD Dual-Core Optimizer，大家可以读读官网上对这2个补丁的英文说明。作者: daijun5588 时间: 2011-3-12 19:33

这2个很明显不一样，根据说明来看，你即使是实际测试安装与不安装AMD Dual-Core Optimizer是否性能一致，也得看你是不是按官方说的那个情况下测试，就是在什么“绕过Windows API而直接使用RDTSC”的这种应用下测试。
官方既然在说明文档中提到了vista，那vista是否应该安装岂不是又是那种“早期amd ahci驱动是否打开了ncq”的争论了？
再退一步，再说xp sp3，xp sp3只是集成了微软针对于intel、amd的双核补丁，也就是KB929338- WindowsXP-KB929338-x86-CHS、KB931784- WindowsXP-KB931784-x86-CHS.exe、KB894441- WindowsXP-KB924441-x86-CHS.exe、KB896256- KB896256chs这4个，但是在当年sp2和amd双核流行时，正确的安装应该是6个，也就是多加了AMD Processor Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003和AMD Dual-Core Optimizer，而且还有安装顺序，当然有人发布过整合包。那么对于xp sp3来说，用不用装AMD Dual-Core Optimizer？如果不用装，那amd不可能在08年8月份再次更新AMD Dual-Core Optimizer，因为08年3月就已经出了xp sp3了，更何况AMD Dual-Core Optimizer的1.14还针对了vista进行了修正！要知道的是 最新的AMD Processor Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003截止到08年2月27号，也就是说AMD Processor Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003是肯定不用在xp sp3下装了，因为amd到sp3发布后就再也没发布。
