Memory spot market remains weak, says inSpectrum

Slow demand again dragged overall price trends for both DRAM and NAND flash at the spot market this week (July 25-29), according to inSpectrum.

Although some local traders are expecting that the speculation that a South Korea-based air carrier's cargo plane crash on Thursday (July 28) might stimulate the overall DRAM spot market, since significant amounts of DRAM wafers and modules were reportedly on the plane, the rumors did not bring any catalyst into the local spot market, inSpectrum explained.

As of the noon session of July 29, spot price of branded 2Gb DDR3 was US$1.16, representing a 6% intra-week drop while spot price for white-branded DDR3 also fell 6% to US$0.95, according to inSpectrum.

The NAND flash spot market was also very quiet with limited transactions made due to slow demand. Since some local traders seem to have not yet digested their inventory piled up from March, they are not yet ready for to make procurements, indicated inSpectrum.

While Apple's next generation iPhone is reportedly to hit the market in September, the overall NAND flash spot market might rebound in August, the research firm pointed out citing the local market as saying.

我很乐观呀，虽然我用 169 买了一对 4gb 三叔黑条，但是继续跌的话我就能很轻松地上 16GB 了。{lol:]

这个笔记本内存已经走在台式机内存前面了,笔记本内存去年年底就出单条8G的了。

现在三星8G单条1333笔记本内存2000多一条，大致是单条4G的三星笔记本内存的10倍价格。不过去年刚出时，dell官方选配要20000左右一条，现在已经跌了将近10倍了，估计以后还能跌10倍:mad:
