這個特徵是基於6Gb/s以後的產品才存在的..
這也包括了LSISAS2008產品...
MaintainPdFailHistory根據官方的簡單描述如下:
If enabled (the default), if a disk drive drops from a volume, it can not be used again in the volume with manual intervention in the event the drive comes back.
這句話的意思簡而言之很簡單, 就是在RAID下, 如果VD中有一顆PD突然被drop掉, 當你強制手動insert回去...
對於VD來說, 你是需要去人為干涉去修復VD的...
換言之, insert回去的PD並不是一個HSP...

從影片可以看到, 我後期需要手動人為干涉將insert回去的PD設成HSP之後...
RAID controller才會進行rebuild操作去修復VD...
那相反的, 如果我把這個特性給關掉了, 那就是手動insert回去後他會自動操作rebuild...

有些時候給他insert回去然後自動rebuild...
可能是沒必要的, 因為你的PD也許是完好的...
重啟動再做一次OAR, VD依然可以立即復原...
這個特性的開與關視情況使用....
該特徵預設是啟動的...
備註:
Be sure to disable 'Maintain PD Fail History' when using single drive RAID 0. Failure to do so may result in the single drive RAID 0 array being deleted with an unclean shutdown, as the controller will mark the single drive RAID 0 'unconfigured bad'. If the setting is disabled the drives would be marked foreign configuration and the auto import policy would pull them drive back in.
