标题: 为什么不重新出5寸的硬盘呢
单碟轻松2T，
持续读写能力肯定不会差
寻道肯定会慢，不过无所谓

5寸转速上不去。那个硬盘还不慢死。

上5400转没有问题
即使是像十几年前的大脚一样来4200转，线速度上跟3.5寸的5400转也差不多。

不靠谱的东西,现在的转速要做造成5寸的话,如果不找出新的盘体材料,盘片会由于离心力而碎裂的,更大的盘片旋转是不但用的能量更大,产生的气压也比3.5的高几倍以上,磁头材料也得另找,这么大的东西,又重又费电又热又占空间,有什么用?性能再高也干不过SSD,容量是大了,但稳定性是否跟得上也是问题

这么大的碟片。加工难度高，成本也高。还不如多叠几张碟靠谱。

分型号，我的1.2G的大脚是3600的，别的型号有4000的

不过刚从170M的IBM升级到1.2G的大脚的时候，感觉还是很好的。

成本高的原因是不能帮3.5" 7200rpm的消化废盘片？

IBM的MR/GMR技术这时候得到应用了，单碟密度突飞猛进，引发了繁荣，同时宣判了大脚的死刑。
从IBM不玩硬盘开始，这几家厂家根本没推出任何技术革新。

大脚 1.2G 2.1G用过，2.1G是正常用着退下来的，应该还好，那时候硬盘质量没的说的。
