标题: PD915利用MOD方法运行在266外频,但问题也来了
MOD方法让PD915运行在266外频*1066总线。但系统不能识别为双核,这是什么原因?用CPU-Z、EVEREST等等软件都不能识别为双核。软件测试系统性能到是强了许多。
配置:
系统:WINDOW VISTA
主板:G965
请各位看看是什么原因?

哪种MOD方法? 似乎只有一种是能完全成功的,其他的有时候会只有一个核心能用。

就是用“关于E4300/E21540/E2160等CPU进行MOD超频的实战”,这个贴子的方法,用导电银接好2、5点,就上到了266外频*1066总线,请问对不对,其它的还有什么方法,请指教,谢谢了。

由于是品牌机*DELL*,所以主板没有任何可以调节CPU的选项,所以只有用MOD的方法来超频了。

正常,那个方法对肉核心是可以用的,Presler用的话只有一个核心激活。

这里是这样的一段话:
This method has worked very well. I believe it's a bit easier than connecting BSEL1 to Vss because your trace is not as long. Also, I believe you will get more consistent results doing it this way because I believe that the High signal that's already on BSEL1 might not mix well with the Low signal from VSS. This might explain people getting mixed results with the mod.

Also, insulating BSEL1 and connecting it to BSEL2 is the ONLY way to do this mod with CedarMill and Presler CPU's. In my experience, if you try it any other way with CedarMill you will not even POST. With Presler, I was able to get a PD 915 to boot at 3.73GHz by simply connecting BSEL1 to Vss but weirdly enough only one core was working even though they were both enabled in the BIOS. Both CedarMill and Presler work fine at 266 FSB if you insulate BSEL1 and connect it to BSEL2.

Interestingly, with Prescott CPU's all you had to do was connect BSEL1 to BSEL2 and that would always do the trick. You didn't have to worry about insluating any pins or connecting anything to Vss. There must have been some minor change in electrical specfications going from 90nm to 65nm that affected this but that stuff would be well beyond my understanding of the subject.
