We have received news that a G92 variation of the hot selling 8800GT card is in the works. This new card, based on the same G92 GPU will come with 128 Shader processors instead of 112 on the current 8800GT. The Core and memory clocks will also be increased and it is said to support up to 1GB GDDR3. With the 8800GT being able to overclock so well, it is presume that the new G92 version should be able to replace the 8800GTX or the 8800Ultra in terms of performance. If you intend to buy the 8800GT right now, perhaps you should save a bit more and wait for the Christmas sale. THe new G92 card is slated for December sale. Price should be within the $250-$300 range, we suspect.
