标题: 【NV主板市场失手】显卡的春风得意掩盖不了芯片组上的失意
众所周知NVIDIA的芯片组市场也是一块不小的市场，可是这次Intel推出45nm wolfdale和Yorkfield的时候NV却犯了一个严重的错误，所有NV的芯片组均不支持四核心的yorkfield
3 ~5 |$ T; w' k5 Y. @  l华硕的主板45nm支持列表9 v4 C8 ]( y4 I( v' V( c* F% G! d6 T2 [
1 p/ B7 D! r6 S$ t, M* ?0 I
根据以往的经验如果华硕的同一款芯片组产品不提供支持，那么其他厂商也基本得不到支持3 X1 f% E& v8 u
所有手上有680i，650i主板的用户们不用考虑yorkfield了，并且不要指望通过BIOS升级来支持

650i能支持双核的也差不多了，定位就那样。. T1 m* \9 X& G" p: J- {. p
680i不支持就有点郁闷了o:)

Yorkfield不是什么问题，关键是Lynnfield集成了北桥，就抽出一个PCIe 2.0 x16的来，通过DMI连接南桥，这样就NV天大的本事，也就是充其量在PCIe上桥接一下，借着SLI赚个桥接芯片的钱……

NV 主板方面真的很强大

还跟一线大厂搞

5 r: U8 p6 j$ k. J; D) s9 u6 g希特勒这娃南征北战都挂点，拿破仑两线作战就栽跟头，NV这种无名小翠，也玩这个，大概是想专精GPU事业了

intel搞显卡抄NV后路NV当然不爽，不给intel很正常。0 Q  d5 q2 T, U) H0 b/ \! h# X# Y
NV的芯片组和intel芯片组在2星期的商务应用负载挂机赛中是胜出的，intel芯片组当掉一台而NV全数通过。

All of this begs the question, at least in my mind, “Did NVIDIA know this was coming?” Obviously if it did know this was coming back during reference board design this would not be happening. My gut bet is that Intel has kept NVIDIA at arm’s length when it comes to new technology which of course is now going to upset a lot of NVIDIA motherboard owners. My thought is that Intel and NVIDIA have not been playing nicely for a while now, and this simply reinforces how I see the two companies’ balmy relationship.

Intel is about to have their own video cards and “SLI” solutions in the market, possibly as early as 2008, and Intel is betting that when that happens, there will be little need for NVIDIA chipsets in the market place. 2008 will be an interesting year both in terms of video cards and motherboards. Now if AMD will scale the Phenom up to and beyond 3GHz, we will that much more excitement.
