A few post back a guy told me how to get the optical in working again using the standard driver.8 O5 s( D7 D: c* K
8 p4 @% L& Y/ \7 {, J$ b$ zYou do this by:- : i: T, t2 n% c3 b6 r , h6 j" M7 ?8 e# I* [Right click on the speaker icon in the system tray and select play back devices. J1 K3 V" g! ~3 ?$ K K
/ u- t% {' e3 H9 [9 JNow right click on the speakers icon and select propeties ) A" @& x5 z% V: k" q& I" x% l, E& f+ e" q& @
In the custom tab tick enable i/o: A9 L" A8 T9 q! K* B
4 P; y+ Z+ L% XThe in levels tab just un mute the spdif and digital i1 m! A* @2 d
2 [4 l8 n9 E' NRight that gets the port working again but its still wont accept dts siganls from the 360 until you do this " V! h1 v8 v( u- q* X# J ( w c, r1 e6 j' w/ h& bDownload the xfi driver from dell just go on the dell site and download for dell dimension xps 710 4 k8 e/ r- j, \: d : Z X! E6 B3 v) X. L/ Cextract the exe file but dont install it just cancel after extracting 0 s2 K$ N" j1 `% ]0 f9 G+ g0 K" z% f$ X) ]$ h' T0 j
now copy these two files0 q5 ^5 n$ g5 D& z" h6 z3 j% Q8 @. Y
& D; i# I4 q* y& w% @

and thats it works a treat for me i now have my xbox 360 connected up to my optical in with dolby digtal in the settings. ; U' Y2 t; }+ C t2 p8 u+ @, B. o" U5 q3 A4 ]/ y d. B1 i3 w7 D
