1.14 Onboard Power Button

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage components. The onboard power button
# C7 ~% B/ s3 o% L8 W& _should be used only at an ESD workstation using an antistatic wrist strap and a
2 _/ c9 L% K4 C7 e" y+ C \4 J& cconductive foam pad. If such a station is not available, some ESD protection can be
+ `& X7 M# Q2 a9 f. I" k5 cprovided by wearing an antistatic wrist strap and attaching it to a metal part of the% Y; K1 I. s$ N/ A8 c
computer chassis.
$ i4 t V8 k# ^4 E) T0 A/ n8 Z, JThe board provides a power button that can be used to turn the computer on or off.0 k7 L y( u9 u
This button is intended for use at integration facilities to remove standby power before
1 d/ ]+ Q1 s2 s& ? L! P0 E1 Lmaking changes to the system configuration, or for testing purposes.6 ]" r8 B9 ^8 ]7 @0 F/ O
The power button on the front panel is recommended for all other instances of turning
: A# y2 _9 S7 T4 S6 ^the computer on or off. To turn the computer off using the onboard power button,

1.15 Onboard LEDs

$ r, K. R: D b1 m, u& u3 h• The CPU LED indicates an elevated temperature on the processor that could effect/ i- u% E, Y, L% n$ h, ?3 F

• The VR LED indicates an elevated temperature in the processor voltage regulator
7 E6 o9 y; ^1 `; f5 P4 Bcircuit that could effect performance+ r& V! F6 b: C! x" n& n( z, w
