LCD Panel Technology Type and Characteristics 液晶显示技术分类及特性解析

TN film (Twisted Nematic)  扭曲向列+薄膜型
- low manufacturing/retail costs 低生产成本及零售价格
- restrictive viewing angles 受限制的可视角度
- fast pixel response times 快速的像素响应时间
- dead pixels display white. Stuck pixels display RGB colors 坏点显示为白色，呆滞点显示为红绿蓝
- lower contrast levels means blacks are not as dark as VA based panels 对比度较低意味着黑位不像VA类面板那样黑
- lower color reproduction 色彩还原不足

IPS (In Plane Switching) 平面切换技术
- improved viewing angles over TN 相对于TN面板提高了可视角度
- very good color reproduction 非常好的色彩还原
- slower pixel response times than TN 像素响应时间比TN慢
- dead pixels display black 坏点显示为黑色
- lower contrast levels means blacks are not as dark as VA based panels 对比度较低意味着黑位不像VA类面板那样黑

Super-IPS (S-IPS)
- same as IPS except ... 跟IPS一样除了以下的：
- likely best color reproduction of all TFT 差不多是所有TFT面板中色彩还原最好的
- less expensive to produce than IPS 没有IPS那么昂贵
- improved pixel response 提高了像素响应时间

VA (Vertical Alignment) Technologies 垂直取向技术

MVA (Multidomain Vertical Alignment) 多畴垂直取向
- compromise between TN and IPS technologies 是TN技术与IPS技术之间的折中方案
- superior color reproduction over TN but not as good as IPS 色彩还原比TN好，比IPS差
- very good viewing angles but less than IPS 可视角度非常好但是赶不上IPS
- higher contrast than TN or S-IPS means very good blacks 比TN和IPS的对比度都高，意味着能够显示很好的黑色
- dead pixels are black 坏点显示为黑色
- slower pixel response than TN or IPS 像素响应时间比TN和IPS都慢
- details can be lost when directly viewing dark areas 当以0度角直视屏幕时，暗部灰阶会丢失（译：视角稍微偏离即可重现）

Premium-MVA (P-MVA)
- same as MVA except ... 跟MVA一样除了以下的：
- "overdrive" technology increases pixel response but still slower than TN “过驱动”技术提高了像素响应时间
- may have slightly degraded color reproduction due to "overdrive" process 由于“过驱动”的运用可能会降低色彩还原

PVA (Patterned VA)
- same as MVA except ... 跟MVA一样除了以下的：
- larger viewing angles 更大的可视角度
- higher contrast levels means darkest blacks 更高的对比度，意味着黑位表现最佳

Super-PVA (S-PVA)
- same as PVA except ... 跟PVA一样，除了以下的：
- “Magic Speed” (the Samsung equivalent to Overdrive) improves pixel response 同样拥有响应时间补偿技术
- slightly improved color reproduction 色彩还原比PVA有所增强
- slightly improved viewing angles 可视角度比PVA有所增强

Purchasing Considerations 采购考量

TN Gamers
Considered a "gamers" panel due to it's fast pixel response times which reduces trailing images know as "ghosting". However, this advantage has been reduced by new technologies to accelerate pixel response times in other panel types. Colors and contrast tend to be weak and blacks are not truly dark. Viewing angles are significantly limited. However, monitors based on this technology tend to be inexpensive.

TN 游戏玩家
由于快速的响应时间能够减少图像的“鬼影”，TN面板被认为是一种适合玩游戏的面板。然而，这个优势已经有所降低，因为其他类面板也开始运用响应时间补偿技术。颜色和对比度表现较弱，黑色并不是真正的黑色。可视角度极大的受到限制。但是TN面板的显示器比较便宜。

IPS / S-IPS Graphics Work or Web Browsing
Considered to have the best color reproduction of all panel types, these panels are well suited for graphics work or web browsing. Pixel response time is also good but slower than the TN "gamers" panel. Contast and blacks are also less dark than VA panels but viewing angles are excellent.

MVA / P-MVA / PVA / S-PVA Compromise for All-Around Use
These panels are a compromise between the fast pixel response times of the TN panel and the excellent color reproduction of the IPS panels. Contrast and blacks are best of all the panel types. Viewing angles are similar but slightly inferior to IPS.

这类面板是TN的快速响应时间以及IPS非常好的色彩还原的折中。对比度及黑位表现在所有面板中最好。可视角度表现类似于IPS，但略有不足。
