标题: 很基础的问题：路由器和交换机的区别
学校的校园网，在tcp/ip设置里选的是制动获取地址，听学长说，用路由器不好（他说不时会断线和影响速度，之前用路由的wan口试过一段时间，没有断），建议用交换机，或者把路由的dhcp关闭，不使用wan口。
因为以前用的是adsl，用的是无限路由，感到很方便。
想向大侠打听一下，学长说的是不是有道理，如果用交换机，又想用无线上网，有可能吗？路由器和交换机的区别在哪里？

简单的说就是路由器可以做地址转换，交换机不可以。

像你这样的情况可以关掉DHCP，拿路由器当交换机+ＡＰ的方式来用就好了。

就是说校园网接在无线路由器的ＬＡＮ的任何一个口，就行

以前路由3层,只能识别ip
交换2层,只识别mac

现在的路由少有不集交换成功能的,你那学长说的纯属扯淡.

买个无线路由,11m集成交换的淘宝上100左右

用交换机不用再经过一次转发。可以和其它机器保持同级。有好处。

和外网连用路由, 需要用到地址转换这类的三层技术.
不和外网连用交换机, 只需要2层的.

家用而已, 就不扯什么一次路由然后交换, ip cef这类东西了.

你的情况用交换机就可以了, 用路由器也行. 如果学校不是dhcp分配地址, 给你固定死了只能用1个IP地址或者需要拨号链接, 你需要带多台机器或者用无线上网的话, 就只能用路由器了.

速度上集线器>交换机>路由器, 功能是反过来的. ^_^

越是底层越快了, ^_^ 翻点书就知道啦. 集线器只是对信号起个整流放大作用, 而交换机还得判断mac地址这些的.

那怎么实现交换机加无线？

直接去买个无线ap就可以了啊, 也就是无线路由器, 一般都是带4个lan口的. 交换机带无线ap功能的我还真没见过, ^_^

只要你不是拿无线和有线去比, 这些速度平常用用感觉不出来的. 瓶颈在你的出口.

问题是要同时连接多台机器。
用HUB很要命的。

学校的网速实在是用的想吐，30米一个月下载速度10K不说，还天天掉线:mad:

问题是要同时连接多台机器。 
用HUB很要命的。

单纯的谈速度而已了。总不能拿个千兆交换机和粗缆细缆集线器去比吧。。。普通家庭4，5台机器的话没啥大问题的。
