另外,如果不想花大钱,又想继续用DD的功能,可以尝试超频{biggrin:]
下面的数据你可以看到DD的效率
Thank you Jon for the fast reaction!!
Here are the results of the test I made overkloking tomato at 252 MHz
WRT54G V2.2 with Tomato 1.00.xxx, factory defaults, 216MHz, 128 bit WEP encryption
PC (FTP Server) -> (WAN) WRT54G (LAN) -> PC (FTP Client) 24MBps (28MBps with two download sessions!)
PC (FTP Server) <- (WAN) WRT54G (LAN) <- PC (FTP Client) 30MBps (32MBps with two upload sessions!)
PC (FTP Server) -> (WAN) WRT54G (WLAN) -> PC (FTP Client) 13MBps (17MBps with two download sessions!)
PC (FTP Server) <- (WAN) WRT54G (WLAN) <- PC (FTP Client) 20MBps (23MBps with two upload sessions!)
PC (FTP Server) -> (LAN) WRT54G (LAN) -> PC (FTP Client) 88MBps
PC (FTP Server) <- (LAN) WRT54G (LAN) <- PC (FTP Client) 70MBps
PC (FTP Server) -> (LAN) WRT54G (WLAN) -> PC (FTP Client) 15MBps (15MBps with two download sessions)
PC (FTP Server) <- (LAN) WRT54G (WLAN) <- PC (FTP Client) 20MBps (20MBps with two upload sessions)
WRT54G V2.2 with Tomato 1.01.xxx, factory defaults, 252MHz, 128 bit WEP encryption
PC (FTP Server) -> (WAN) WRT54G (LAN) -> PC (FTP Client) 28MBps (33MBps with two download sessions!)
PC (FTP Server) <- (WAN) WRT54G (LAN) <- PC (FTP Client) 35MBps (38MBps with two upload sessions!)
PC (FTP Server) -> (WAN) WRT54G (WLAN) -> PC (FTP Client) 19MBps (23MBps with two download sessions!)
PC (FTP Server) <- (WAN) WRT54G (WLAN) <- PC (FTP Client) 26MBps (29MBps with two upload sessions!)
PC (FTP Server) -> (LAN) WRT54G (LAN) -> PC (FTP Client) 88MBps
PC (FTP Server) <- (LAN) WRT54G (LAN) <- PC (FTP Client) 70MBps
PC (FTP Server) -> (LAN) WRT54G (WLAN) -> PC (FTP Client) 24MBps (28MBps with two download sessions)
PC (FTP Server) <- (LAN) WRT54G (WLAN) <- PC (FTP Client) 30MBps (30MBps with two upload sessions)
As expected, the improvement is there...
For those who going to overclock - for WRT54G v2.2 the proper commands are:
nvram set debug_clkfix=0
nvram set clkfreq=252,126
nvram commit
reboot
It works on Tomato v 1.01.
BTW: The chips didn't get hot (checked by finger) during the test. So, the cooling might not be necesseary at this frequence, but is good to have it.
