November 30, 2006 - It's not hard to get excited about Crysis. Its visuals are among the most eye pleasing we've seen, and support for Direct X10 means they can only get better. At least, so we think. But how will DX10 support in Crysis allow for enhanced visuals, and what kinds of specific enhancements? We had to opportunity to get some answers from Crytek's CEO and President Cevat Yerli for the latest. To check out how Crysis looks, be sure to check out this DX10 HD video.

IGN: How close is Crysis to being completed at this point? What's being worked on right now?

Cevat Yerli: We are currently moving towards an alpha build which basically means feature complete.

IGN: What kind of visual advantages will DX10 allow for? Can you go over some specific points?

Cevat Yerli: Improved image fidelity, more intense atmosphere, faster framerates

IGN: Are there any disadvantages or aspects more difficult to deal with than DX9? In addition to prettier visuals, does DX10 improve performance (framerate) as well, or have you found your game takes a hit?

Cevat Yerli:
We will deliver quite a few options for the user to decide what they will be able to achieve with DX10, but enabling all areas to be improved is somewhat not possible currently. But we are adding future scalability for the sake of longevity - in any case, you will get a top notch DX10 experience.

IGN: Does DX10 actually allow for any kinds of gameplay differences (more destructible objects on screen, something like that)?

Cevat Yerli: We are going to feature DX10 specific gameplay where possible, but nothing that is significantly different from DX9. DX10 basically allows developers to use lots more content (like cool particles, particle shadows, etc) while keeping a smooth frame rate.

IGN: Assuming you were to create a sequel to Crysis, where do you see visuals headed once you get an entire development cycle to work with DX10? What kinds of visual effects did you have to omit from Crysis simply because they cropped up too late in development to include?

Cevat Yerli: As with Crysis, we are working on making the Crysis franchise the most realistic and compelling experience ever created. For upcoming titles, we will continue to push the bar for realism while still making the game pure fun and exciting. Luckily for Crysis, we have basically been given everything we asked for in the design stage (who would have guessed we could break trees?) and more, so we can't really give you a definitive answer to this.

IGN: If I wanted to run Crysis at, say, a solid 30 frames per second, what kind of system are people going to need?

Cevat Yerli:
We learned a valuable lesson in Far Cry and that is to give people what they want but to also give them the ability to choose how to run it. For Far Cry, we gave the user a host of options that allowed them to cater to the experience they wanted. Some people like to see no popping, but they could care less for shadows, while others may not care about cool clouds but want more detailed textures. To support this we are going to offer even more ways for players to fine tune their experience. Personally, I would say to run Crysis with high settings; you need a machine that has a card that was made in the last six months. Our goal though is to make it really playable and look good on machines two-years-old from our ship date.

IGN: What kinds of visual inspirations were drawn on to create Crysis' visuals? Games, movies, artwork? Can you specify?

Cevat Yerli: Our main inspirations were drawn from the beautiful island of Morea (near Tahiti). We sent a team to document the island and it has been very helpful in determining the look of our island. For content, movies like Aliens, Black Hawk Down and Tears of the Sun provided great inspiration.

IGN: Is Crysis still on track for a Q3 2007 release? How likely is that date to change?

Cevat Yerli: We are working hard to bring it out at the highest quality level as soon as possible. It will be here before you know it but we are not at liberty to discuss an exact date currently.

多谢.........这怪物游戏g80才能跑啊,这个视频是dx10的视频,看来我们可以用以前dx9的视频作一些对比了。

看完了..........原来就是以前那个录像的内容,只不过以前那个是用摄影机拍摄屏幕,而这个是直接录制的。

不过话说回来,这个录像在颜色上已经和实际游戏无异,摄影机版的偏蓝色,而且明明不是宽屏设置还非把游戏拉长了,而这个新的录像厚道的多。

可以看出没有抗锯齿,锯齿在那些屋子基地等横生........人物就不必多说了,好棒,衣服质感好棒!!坦克逼真。只是那条鲨鱼就比较次了~~~

Q:现在Crysis的完成都怎么样?是否还在开发?
Cevat Yerli:游戏目前处在测试阶段,换句话说游戏基本已经完成。

Q:DX10究竟有哪些特殊的地方?您能列举一些吗?
CY:能提高图象逼真度,增加游戏的气氛,还有缩短开放周期。

Q:DX10有没有什么缺点,或者相对于DX9来说开发变困难的地方呢?虽然画面变得更为绚丽,但是DX10会不会造成你们开发上的困难呢?
CY:我们会给予玩家一些选项,让玩家自己选择是否要打开DX10特效,但是就目前来说游戏全部都使用DX10还是不可能的。但是我们会在今后慢慢加入,不论是哪种情况,玩家都可以感受到DX10的魅力。

Q:DX10除了帮助提高画面,在其他方面对游戏有没有帮助?
CY:我们会尽可能的多使用DX10,但是其实其他方面DX9与DX10并没有什么太大的区别。基本上DX10允许开发者多使用一些东西例如粒子与粒子阴影,从而来算短开发周期。





Q:假如让您现在对Crysis做一个评价,您觉得在现在在DX10的开发中你们图象的优势在哪里?有什么效果是因为提出得太晚使得你们不得不放弃的?
CY:就Crysis来说,我们所作的都是为了使得Crysis看起来真实。就以后的游戏来说,我们会继续保持这样的真实感同时融入游戏的乐趣。我们很幸运,Crysis开发过程中,基本上想要的效果都实现了,目前,我还不能透露更多。

Q:如果我想以平均30帧的速度玩Crysis,我需要什么样的配置?
CY:我们从《孤岛惊魂》中学到的就是,给予玩家想要的,但是保留他们选择怎样运行的权力。在《孤岛惊魂》中我们在游戏中设置了很多选项,让玩家自由选择。有些玩家不喜欢看到爆炸,但他们很在意阴影的树木,而有些玩家不在意云是否真实,他们想要更多真实的贴图。为了满足玩家的这些要求,我们设置了很多选项。就我个人来说,我绝对用最高的选项来玩Crysis绝对是最棒,但是那需要玩家购买一块最好的显卡。我们的目标是让所有近两年来配电脑的玩家都可以享受这款游戏。





Q:当创造Crysis的世界时,是什么触发了你们的灵感?游戏,电影?
CY:我们的灵感主要是被美丽的没丽亚半岛触发的。我们派了一个小组到小岛上实探,这对我们决定游戏中的环境有很大的帮助。而其他例如《异形》,《黑鹰坠落》对我们的帮助也很大。

Q:Crysis是否会于2007年第三季度准时发售?
CY:我们目前正在保证游戏高品质的前提下尽可能的加快工作进度。发售日期如你所知,不出以外应该不会有太大变动。

第三季度。。。。。。。。。踏实下来等8900/8950得了
