It is absolutely terrifying to think that 6 months away from launch, developers have no PS3 dev kits and no real specs on the console. Had this been some “unnamed developer” I wouldn’t even bother with this story but it is the President of Sega and the CEO of THQ making these claims. If Sega and THQ can’t get dev kits, something is seriously wrong.
Financial news publication Bloomberg.com is reporting that when the PlayStation 3 launches this November there will be "fewer and less-powerful games because the company hasn't given final technical details of the new console." "A lot of developers have not gotten the kits,'' said Sega of America president Simon Jeffrey while attending E3 last week. "There certainly will not be a lot of titles available."
