After upgrading from 2GB to 4GB I have spent an evening pulling my hair out. My PC went from stable, to getting:

  M  R% ]6 D& J+ a  N; q

• The screeching after booting up with combined lock-up
• Lock up during game, with combined screeching!
• BSOD's

Strangelyusing the latest drivers (SBXF_PCDVT_LB_2_15_0004) if you have yourspeakers on 2.1 it seemed ok, but hey, I've got 7.1!
) c8 L% K' J2 N$ p. E& MI've foundthat if you install the drivers and the "green iconed" Creative AudioConsole, you can set it to 7.1 and *touch wood* it seems stable.
  {( G' U0 s, ~3 \* w4 ~Had a few rounds of COD4 and a few blasts of Andrea Bocelli and we're ok. Early both upset my computer quite a lot.
So:

• Install latest drivers (SBXF_PCDVT_LB_2_15_0004)
• DO NOT install the flashy blue looking Creative Console Launcher progam, you'll lose all your hair

And Creative, this is a shambles.

刚才看到一个官方一个兄台说，新驱动装上魔戒在线还是有问题，爆音和尖啸不断。难道是个体问题？

可惜了，其实3G内存一般也足够用了，可以暂时少用一根过渡一下再说
我是32bit的xp，系统显示3.25G，还好没遇到啥问题

那个新的驱动安装了，没用。魔兽世界里面依然有杂音。
! m$ m! t% ]1 ]( R- z我更新下主板芯片驱动和bios。再不行的话考虑出声卡了。
