DON'T DO IT!
Pros: Cheap, fast.
Cons: It's going to die on you, seriously. 3-4 months and that's all folks.
Other Thoughts: Do yourself a favor and avoid OCZ all together. Please learn from all these one eggs and go crucial or intel. When I purchased this in late march, it was an attractive option. With all the one eggs rolling in now, it's no coincidence I'm putting mine in. Avoid!!

Worst SSD Ever
Pros: Cheap, easy to install
Cons: Unreliable, sporadic "bad blocks"
Other Thoughts: After 3 months of use, out of the blue one day, the drive is no longer bootable. I attempted recovery using an Appricorn SATA Wire to USB, and could not detect the drive. This OCZ is completely dead and unresponsive. Worst purchase ever made. Since it's been more than 30 days since purchase, NewEgg won't allow an RMA.
1 Egg, because the form requires a rating.

Seriously?
Pros: Worked for 3 momths.
Cons: To update my previous review in regards to this SSD failing in my Macbook Pro, I have just received an email from OCZ asking me to run "ATTO disk benchmark" for at least 4 hours. They say if the test reports errors, there may be a problem with the drive in which case they can replace the drive. Seriously? The fact is that your drive failed only after 3 months, and I lost all the data. Even if this thing pass the benchmark after running it for even 100 hours, I WILL NOT put it back into my Macbook.
Manufacturer Response:

Macbook stopped booting up after 3 months
Pros: Worked for 3 months
Cons: I left a review on 3/21/2012 saying that it was working great in my Macbook Pro. Now, after 3 months, on 6/22/2012, the Macbook stopped booting up. I put the old hard drive back in, and the Macbook is working fine so the problem is obviously with this SSD. Seriously? OCZ. This thing is like a ticking time bomb waiting to fail. I was skeptical with all the bad reviews for OCZ SSD's, but now I know. I had even updated the firmware to the latest before it failed.
Other Thoughts: Windows 7 seems to recognize the drive so it is not completely dead, but the data is obviously corrupted. It may still work if I re-format it, but there is no way taht I am going to put this thing back into my computer.
Manufacturer Response:

Disable sleep mode?
Pros: None
Cons: Please note the manufacturer's response on my previous review (should be just below this one). The manufacturer states that they recommend disabling sleep mode because it might cause problems.
Really?!? Disable sleep mode because it may cause problems? That's like saying your new car might have problems if you try and drive it in reverse. Sleep mode is a default feature of nearly every computer and every operating system. It's simply good housekeeping to utilize it so you're not sucking down watts while not using your computer.
And you made a product that exhibits problems when using sleep mode? Telling me to disable sleep mode is NOT a solution, it's an admission of a problem.
Manufacturer Response:
We would like to clarify our original response. In some systems the system BIOS will cause SSD issues when resuming from sleep mode. Since a typical system will boot up much faster with an SSD, we recommend shutting down instead. Setting power settings to shut the monitor down when the system is idle can help save power before shutting down. Please visit our support forums at the link below to discuss this further. Thank you

Dead after 2 months
Pros: Decent when it worked
Cons: After 2 months of use in a brand new machine, Windows started registering random errors. The registry became corrupted and I tried reinstalling Windows. This is where everything went downhill. Windows installer failed a couple times, and then stopped being able to read the drive. I tried 3 different versions of OCZ's linux repair tools, and none of them could access or work on the drive.
Other Thoughts: Had this happened to me, I would have been fine. But this happened to a customer who I had convinced to get an SSD because they are non-mechanical and less susceptible to failure. Thankfully I had her files backed up from when I worked on her old computer and built her this new one. Otherwise she would have lost everything.
Now it's time to see how decent OCZ's RMA process is.
