The Lynx Version 2 (WDM) driver supports multi-channel playback using the Play 1 device. To effectively monitor 5.1 audio 6 discreet outputs are necessary, so the LynxTWO-B, with 6 analog outputs, is the ideal choice.

When playing back 5.1 surround encoded audio, the channel distribution is: Left/Right = Outputs 1&2; Center = 3; Sub= 4; Left/Right Rear = 5&6. |
