% e0 [6 A' g4 A, Tmonitor mixer can only route real inputs to real outputs, and there is no obvious way to convert
5 M) V) y! |) s# L* d$ {from the virtual outputs to the real outputs.

both the analog and digital outputs. It’s a compromise, but should be more useful than not

Help! I don’t see all of my inputs and outputs.

When you run Cubase, you may not see some of your outputs. This is probably due to the fact
/ }0 b7 S$ y7 `2 X" f% W" q j) ]that another program is using them. The most likely culprit is the Microsoft wavetable 7 o P6 h. R5 g& o1 j
synthesizer, which is being opened by Cubase as a MIDI output device. Exit Cubase and run the
1 J9 Y0 O2 @9 _3 w) P g, }“Setup MME” program. Select “Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth” and click the “Set Inactive”
0 X+ d, o) l y, G2 K: h* Kbutton. Run Cubase again. % ^8 g% j3 `/ N) y% U! i6 r2 k

This is because we support ASIO 2.0 Direct Monitoring. Direct Monitoring gives Cubase control 8 g, w: C; g( U. \: t1 Z
over the hardware monitors. When Cubase starts up, it uses DirectMonitoring to mute that
& A2 F) N. p0 x7 I$ F' Dmonitor.

% l: P+ b+ L9 R1 X5 nWe realize that this is annoying. As far as we can tell the concept behind Cubase is that you ( S1 q! S- P$ n% ]# @ ?# ^
should have all your monitors muted at first and then enable them within Cubase in the Channel

! x6 s$ k& H e* L: X& vIf you don’t like this behavior, you can always go to Options/Audio Setup/System…., click on 6 B8 O. U( I* U* ]8 n e
“ASIO Control Panel” and uncheck the box labeled “Enable ASIO 2.0 Direct Monitoring”. This will $ z8 y) f% ^7 P! U `5 e
cause our ASIO driver to reject any Direct Monitoring commands and prevent the mute on
; G0 R) P1 T3 N0 m* ostartup. Of course, it also means that you can’t use Direct Monitoring.

Using SONAR
