: E# I& ?% T! H1 a8 J$ P Labout Mia’s virtual outputs; it just sees Mia as four inputs and eight outputs. Unfortunately, Mia’s
x( y6 c" n& }monitor mixer can only route real inputs to real outputs, and there is no obvious way to convert
% V, P# g" [3 e8 a- E; Mfrom the virtual outputs to the real outputs. $ R6 D$ w' _1 y+ J$ ~1 h: x

Therefore, if you are doing DirectMonitoring with Mia, the input will be simultaneously sent out
3 y8 z I3 J- }5 `: jboth the analog and digital outputs. It’s a compromise, but should be more useful than not

When you run Cubase, you may not see some of your outputs. This is probably due to the fact
% V) B. ]" c8 Othat another program is using them. The most likely culprit is the Microsoft wavetable
+ q9 E5 F5 ]+ e; |: k6 G# Ysynthesizer, which is being opened by Cubase as a MIDI output device. Exit Cubase and run the 2 w t8 z# `' k+ L
“Setup MME” program. Select “Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth” and click the “Set Inactive”
% K% R1 g, y$ j4 Q9 T2 q9 Jbutton. Run Cubase again. % E9 V0 [5 T$ i5 j5 ^+ e* Y/ K

If your outputs still don’t show up, you may have some other software that’s doing the same thing.

inputs. In addition, see what other audio software you have running.

This is because we support ASIO 2.0 Direct Monitoring. Direct Monitoring gives Cubase control ( |- H6 l& y1 H8 r
over the hardware monitors. When Cubase starts up, it uses DirectMonitoring to mute that

& @& J O8 {9 x! t. s1 A“ASIO Control Panel” and uncheck the box labeled “Enable ASIO 2.0 Direct Monitoring”. This will ' N% i5 V. ]/ D
cause our ASIO driver to reject any Direct Monitoring commands and prevent the mute on . t6 c W: C7 V$ `
startup. Of course, it also means that you can’t use Direct Monitoring. - q! v+ U( d' } t3 M# q

SONAR supports ASIO and WDM/KS for low-latency access to audio hardware. The ASIO mode
