6 f1 q4 V! W2 tEtymotic ER6i is a in-the-ear type stereo headset. It provides a isolation of over 25dB against the noise outside. Below is the measurement done this morning in AE lab, CDC.

Right Channel Isolation (ER6i)
* ]9 o2 O: E! WDue to the in-the-ear design, ER6i provides much better noise canceling compared with normal circumaural earphones and normal earbuds. In the frequency below 1 KHz, the isolation is around 18dB and more than 25dB over 1 KHz, as shown in the pictures above.

Response of Bass-Rich ear bud (Brand Senmai)1 `6 @. W0 J1 Z
Compared with the response given above, the ER6i’s response below 1 KHz is quite flat, within ±2dB. Instead, the Bass-Rich ear bud has a peak around 500Hz, which will result in plenty of bass elements while listening music. And that’s why ER6i is designed to classic music without too much bass.
4 J7 |6 M& I# H# a2 ~, a" _# [7 tThe huge difference of THD may derive from driver type. ER6i applies balanced armature while the other dynamic. |
