It provides a isolation of over 25dB against the noise outside. Below is the measurement done this morning in AE lab, CDC. 6 L( a4 K% L( o. P% {: u1. T" H8 f3 E1 xDue to the in-the-ear design, ER6i provides much better noise canceling compared with normal circumaural earphones and normal earbuds. In the frequency below 1 KHz, the isolation is around 18dB and more than 25dB over 1 KHz, as shown in the pictures above.% ]. l4 ^ I) H8 l5 E$ i" R5 i

Response of Bass-Rich ear bud (Brand Senmai) 6 c' ^# h: `. a! Z. JCompared with the response given above, the ER6i’s response below 1 KHz is quite flat, within ±2dB. Instead, the Bass-Rich ear bud has a peak around 500Hz, which will result in plenty of bass elements while listening music. And that’s why ER6i is designed to classic music without too much bass.3 \+ o7 C/ d! ]- q! G
The huge difference of THD may derive from driver type. ER6i applies balanced armature while the other dynamic.
