The CA20K1 digital audio processor is a slave processor designed to
" @( Z& A- P, c3 h' e$ l3 }accelerator digital audio processing and is available in 0.13mm BGA package
size 23mm by 23mm. The CA20K1 contain several special purposes
9 X. n& y5 N) ^2 ^) Y, {/ aprocessing units including: a sample rate converter engine, a digital filter
# ~6 Z0 w' E/ V4 H( j6 n1 Xengine, a digital delay line accelerator know as the “tank engine”, a digital
" P2 l% d; Q" s/ C! O; R1 rfilter engine, a powerful mixer, a micro-programmable audio DSP, various
digital I/O capabilities and bus mastering external memory interfaces. Unlike
8 f9 W# i; ~: i5 jthe host interface control port the bus mastering “audio transport” supports
8 Z5 l" v, k; M. ?/ uburst mode accesses to the PCI and SDRAM interfaces. Host processor is
required to control the CA20K1 through a 32-bit PCI bus or a generic
microprocessor interface using a series of reads and writes to control
8 v+ C5 _6 g* W* ?' uregisters.
The X-Fi audio enhancement algorithm is integrated into the CA20K1 audio
5 {/ M8 Z1 `% v. lprocessor to extend the X-Fi enjoyment to the customers. As the next
generation high-resolution audio processor, CA20K1 provides dramatic
improvements to enhance listening experiences for movies and improves
the capabilities, performance and quality of audio. The enhanced sound
quality makes movies more realistic. Users can truly immerse themselves in
scenes like underwater, volcano eruption, war zone etc. while enjoying the

Overview

CA20K2 uses an advanced PCI Express (PCIe) one-lane interface and adds an

introduced by the PCIe interface. The CA20K2 also expands the audio I/O
