+ b2 Q# K2 x) _( qThe CA20K1 digital audio processor is a slave processor designed to
accelerator digital audio processing and is available in 0.13mm BGA package

5 F! O8 k; q" Uprocessing units including: a sample rate converter engine, a digital filter
engine, a digital delay line accelerator know as the “tank engine”, a digital
. \/ R  h$ v( V( X8 E9 Z+ hfilter engine, a powerful mixer, a micro-programmable audio DSP, various
9 V' F1 Y6 X/ G* p3 _+ @digital I/O capabilities and bus mastering external memory interfaces. Unlike
the host interface control port the bus mastering “audio transport” supports
2 E' W( w& C2 [2 D! _, v* ?burst mode accesses to the PCI and SDRAM interfaces. Host processor is
" L7 Q3 `. u# W+ l* ?( Qrequired to control the CA20K1 through a 32-bit PCI bus or a generic
microprocessor interface using a series of reads and writes to control
registers.
The X-Fi audio enhancement algorithm is integrated into the CA20K1 audio
$ R5 }$ W! G" ~" K/ I, cprocessor to extend the X-Fi enjoyment to the customers. As the next
generation high-resolution audio processor, CA20K1 provides dramatic
improvements to enhance listening experiences for movies and improves

quality makes movies more realistic. Users can truly immerse themselves in

CA20K2 uses an advanced PCI Express (PCIe) one-lane interface and adds an
embedded RISC processor to safegaurd against long control latencies
% m- ^7 e  h1 V" j3 b  ^2 _0 Gintroduced by the PCIe interface. The CA20K2 also expands the audio I/O
capabilities and adds DDRAM for increased local memory bandwidth. In
addition, the CA20K2 incorporates a Universal Audio Architecture (UAA)
  j3 ~  I/ O- H' V& [component and is available in 0.13mm BGA package size 19mm by 19mm.
