/ t% M( _. A9 g5 c" y7 jThe CA20K1 digital audio processor is a slave processor designed to
# Z/ n+ O- e5 E( {8 @1 iaccelerator digital audio processing and is available in 0.13mm BGA package
6 d2 G" B3 O! l! |. v8 B9 ssize 23mm by 23mm. The CA20K1 contain several special purposes
processing units including: a sample rate converter engine, a digital filter
/ k* Y+ B9 X1 v3 b4 z- Y1 ?2 l0 oengine, a digital delay line accelerator know as the “tank engine”, a digital
filter engine, a powerful mixer, a micro-programmable audio DSP, various
digital I/O capabilities and bus mastering external memory interfaces. Unlike
' \' b. i% K. Ethe host interface control port the bus mastering “audio transport” supports
2 l6 K  I8 v+ Z# Y# M- pburst mode accesses to the PCI and SDRAM interfaces. Host processor is
required to control the CA20K1 through a 32-bit PCI bus or a generic
microprocessor interface using a series of reads and writes to control

The X-Fi audio enhancement algorithm is integrated into the CA20K1 audio

The CA20K2 digital audio processor is based on the CA20K1 architecture. The
CA20K2 uses an advanced PCI Express (PCIe) one-lane interface and adds an
embedded RISC processor to safegaurd against long control latencies
- {& z$ j' J5 n6 O! C5 w5 ?introduced by the PCIe interface. The CA20K2 also expands the audio I/O
capabilities and adds DDRAM for increased local memory bandwidth. In
