1.14 Onboard Power Button

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage components. The onboard power button k" L U* L% l1 K7 M2 C7 P" f) M
should be used only at an ESD workstation using an antistatic wrist strap and a/ q1 X( o# f, y# E
conductive foam pad. If such a station is not available, some ESD protection can be
5 P- |* B! f# Z$ n. B) B* [provided by wearing an antistatic wrist strap and attaching it to a metal part of the
' e9 j( t0 `) n' F) ]! {( Q0 Wcomputer chassis.( ]. u% t% o# A9 j
The board provides a power button that can be used to turn the computer on or off.2 n9 @' u" y- I; r9 _
This button is intended for use at integration facilities to remove standby power before9 F9 O( w, \% Z; G
making changes to the system configuration, or for testing purposes.
3 h. Z2 ^) S7 L x! p% c$ GThe power button on the front panel is recommended for all other instances of turning3 m) E' ?1 o; ^9 j5 a4 {+ z
the computer on or off. To turn the computer off using the onboard power button,/ E- x; {: B4 T" n( L' y. w7 d: @9 D
keep the button pressed down for three seconds.

In addition to the standby power indicator, the board contains two LEDs that indicate3 W* ?7 ^$ R( y7 F0 f' k

performance
- p$ i' q2 \8 ^• The VR LED indicates an elevated temperature in the processor voltage regulator% o* J- k- J* g, N
circuit that could effect performance
