1.14 Onboard Power Button

( D$ v6 T: h: V! Tshould be used only at an ESD workstation using an antistatic wrist strap and a
; |6 z& j$ B0 F; Dconductive foam pad. If such a station is not available, some ESD protection can be# _- q8 z+ r' m l6 S G/ w
provided by wearing an antistatic wrist strap and attaching it to a metal part of the
8 h3 _1 K7 k8 ^$ A/ G+ V2 K: Q( i9 Dcomputer chassis.
; z& `4 z+ ^7 M: zThe board provides a power button that can be used to turn the computer on or off.0 ]" h. H: }) F0 p' M, i A7 w& o
This button is intended for use at integration facilities to remove standby power before
+ k! `, _9 i6 ^% J( J5 i4 `making changes to the system configuration, or for testing purposes.+ C: _! s: N& J; U) W* y
The power button on the front panel is recommended for all other instances of turning
) p5 K" f+ H2 x1 q4 N/ o) Xthe computer on or off. To turn the computer off using the onboard power button,0 V, n# c: d# v! E5 C
keep the button pressed down for three seconds.4 O, [) W# D9 h% S+ B& w- D
% A( n: W! Y, a% w1.15 Onboard LEDs0 C. R: B/ ^, u- e
In addition to the standby power indicator, the board contains two LEDs that indicate

0 y9 a; \( z; L• The CPU LED indicates an elevated temperature on the processor that could effect6 Y. x$ e+ i! B$ D- Q
performance
4 p9 a: F, p+ Y# @% ?• The VR LED indicates an elevated temperature in the processor voltage regulator
