1.14 Onboard Power Button

/ q0 u" y, U3 a/ e. d) P" aElectrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage components. The onboard power button: r) \1 H9 h$ t/ M
should be used only at an ESD workstation using an antistatic wrist strap and a
* u2 h$ Y, _2 Mconductive foam pad. If such a station is not available, some ESD protection can be' s J( y) a3 X9 L9 U
provided by wearing an antistatic wrist strap and attaching it to a metal part of the
1 O" M( [# z. M( q8 j0 ucomputer chassis.* t, n" D+ Z& [# t
The board provides a power button that can be used to turn the computer on or off.2 O$ d/ ~; \2 }7 ?0 }
This button is intended for use at integration facilities to remove standby power before
" C8 E* f3 g$ m2 | \making changes to the system configuration, or for testing purposes.& L3 B) Z5 c) j6 r! H/ o/ k
The power button on the front panel is recommended for all other instances of turning
$ |4 G& [" T8 f1 P4 T* ^0 Ythe computer on or off. To turn the computer off using the onboard power button,

/ E* |0 g( H) tIn addition to the standby power indicator, the board contains two LEDs that indicate

• The VR LED indicates an elevated temperature in the processor voltage regulator
