1.14 Onboard Power Button

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage components. The onboard power button
9 N& c. a; ~$ v$ C. @should be used only at an ESD workstation using an antistatic wrist strap and a
9 ~7 e% Y" S: h, ^" B% Rconductive foam pad. If such a station is not available, some ESD protection can be& w3 F0 f) n' v/ e: X; u
provided by wearing an antistatic wrist strap and attaching it to a metal part of the
& y% Q; L8 c! t k9 U7 Qcomputer chassis.
& ]% u8 f* C. i8 v/ ]" E8 d2 S) fThe board provides a power button that can be used to turn the computer on or off.# A# M; Q2 g+ Y3 a! Y& D7 j
This button is intended for use at integration facilities to remove standby power before
" [& U/ x/ q. w0 ^2 |+ Imaking changes to the system configuration, or for testing purposes.; ?2 M3 ] E: b2 U. D" p
The power button on the front panel is recommended for all other instances of turning+ B, f. d- | O' K6 [1 Q
the computer on or off. To turn the computer off using the onboard power button,
