Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage components. The onboard power button% b2 \! w8 c$ g4 q! M
should be used only at an ESD workstation using an antistatic wrist strap and a: S) ^, E* O9 I( H# ]( |/ J
conductive foam pad. If such a station is not available, some ESD protection can be' b/ R' }* R A. ~
provided by wearing an antistatic wrist strap and attaching it to a metal part of the d' f5 v0 u2 ^9 ~ X) S
computer chassis.
$ l. c- D- Q/ {# xThe board provides a power button that can be used to turn the computer on or off.
' l6 s- ~5 A8 M" b" h/ M" JThis button is intended for use at integration facilities to remove standby power before/ u2 m! ] S$ E8 H1 w
making changes to the system configuration, or for testing purposes.
' e! D' a0 n3 R+ B' R0 a5 T' l nThe power button on the front panel is recommended for all other instances of turning
