My ColorMunki is not working with SpectraView 2 or ColorNavigator
Thank you for rating this answer.
First thing to check is that the USB cable is sitting properly in the ColorMunki - the case is poorly designed and can stop the USB cable connecting properly. Re-seat the cable until you're sure it's in properly (firmly but gently!).
This also occurs in all cases with ColorMunki software from version 1.1 onwards. The fix is relatively simple (and is documented in the readme file with SpectraView 2) - the fix is the same for ColorNavigator.
X-Rite ColorMunki color sensor:
If the X-Rite ColorMunki software is installed, it will prevent SV2 from accessing the device even if the main ColorMunki application is not currently running.
If you are using the ColorMunki software prior to version 1.1.0:
NEC SV2will detect if the ColorMunki software is running and give the option of closing it automatically. To use the ColorMunki software again after SV2 has closed it, you must run the colormunki.exe application from the Startup menu in Windows.
If you are using the ColorMunki software version 1.1.0 or newer:
You must turn off the ColorMunki Service in the Windows Control Panel > "X-Rite Device Services" to allow NEC Display Wall Calibrator to access the device.
To use the ColorMunki software again you must turn the ColorMunki Service back on.
FOR BOTH:
It is not recommended to connect this device using either USB extension cables or USB hubs as it may cause errors detecting or taking measurements from the device. Whenever possible connect it directly to the host PC.
