There will be two new GPU3/Fermi projects 6800 and 6811 on adv soon:
P6800 is our second-stage sampling of the amyloid beta peptide.
P6811 presents our first attempt to sample the configurations of a prion protein.
Please note that P6811 has the largest number of atoms ever (2150 atoms) for a GPU3/Fermi project. Donors with low/medium-end GPUs may notice a significant difference in PPD since low/medium-end GPUs may not perform well relative to high-end GPUs as system size increases.
Points and deadlines:
P6800 -- 1298 points, preferred deadline 4 days, final deadline 10 days
P6811 -- 7202 points, preferred deadline 13 days, final deadline 18 days
FAH的GPU任务长年以来一直缺乏应对大分子的能力,曾经最大的螺旋束蛋白ACBP也才1392原子。较之CPU部分动辄几万甚至几十万,最大甚至达到了109万原子的BIG ADV任务,GPU方面一直只能对比较小的分子比如villin蛋白或者免疫蛋白等进行研究。现在在费米的助力下,斯坦福终于开始大胆的尝试更大分子的高精度模拟工作了
目前两个任务都已经实装,服务器正在大量发放该任务,费米跑起来很热
