bought the companion AGP-NV-DVI card. I'm not able to get TV out8 G$ n8 i! ^( ~1 `& l! k
working, either through Composite or S-Video, in Windows 2000 or
, ~: o$ c& s! H4 j% W6 LLinux, and I was curious if anyone else has or is having the same! V, U1 D+ _4 D/ V. A
problem.

Daugther Card's S-Video and Composite out Feature. This is the main

I have tried downloading and reinstalling the drivers for the systems# R" ~( G; @8 T5 C+ s( }7 n l
components, running the system with each monitor indivually and
& x* x4 d, y4 d! N. Icombined, and unplugging the TV Tuner Card. The setting under the bios a2 k) q( p" R& p- ^7 E1 n
specify NTSC for the TV out format Nothing has had an effect on the
! x( D, v/ M, t0 g7 |video output of the AGP-NV-DVI card.
! Z) r7 a8 C; R& j% L& S- j- I) u; L) z1 u( ^) |( N
All I receive from the Television for a fraction of second is a
! O- f3 R+ |' t8 \flicker of the computer screen in B&W when I select the Television% h( n$ F9 O' x# G
output from the nVidia GeForece4 MX Intergrated GPU Properties Tab
; ^2 Y2 X4 A" ?7 A"Device Selection" Menu

The Television is working with the system via the GrandTec Unit, and/ i1 \1 u3 {3 ^

Customer using agp-nv-dvi agp card, that is supposed to work with this

/ i; b z, R, y4 Vflicker and then the video goes out again. He has attempted to connect

still had problems. No difference. Beginning to sound like a possible

Tried system out of case with Antec 400W psu, heard a "pop" sound and+ W7 e3 Q& S D6 Z* M; S
smelled smoke; nothing works, system won't power up, with or without

(AGP-NV-DVI) back from the RMA department. I hook up all the parts and: S+ F4 x2 O) `, @; K* ?$ a' V
pieces to the power supply and the SAME PROBLEM. Exactly the same as, E( C O% p0 ?' K3 ]' }
the last time. I did notice one new thing. When I went to check the
N' R( i( e0 K( T4 y" zconnection of the Composite Video Cable a small spark jumped from the. h5 s! m0 u: T
AGP Cards resistor, Marked R20??, to the AGP Connector on the system3 l/ h+ G( M0 e# @- y4 |
board, causing the system to reset and including the CMOS. That+ p) z4 Y/ W, M
doesn't look good at all. Funny thing is that was happening before I
/ `' i9 y9 Z# w9 vjust didn't notice it, and I think thats what caused the last failure.
! I/ ]% ^0 O2 z$ QBottom line the Card and System still don't do what I need them to do.
% w2 I$ r% P! ^, u6 |Help with this feature would be greatly appreciated since it is why I

. V) t# G, q V3 w4 e- I5 [a good thing. This is two power-type issues you have had since
' {7 W" ^( f( ?changing the power supply--perhaps there is something wrong with the
s4 h- P( v& U+ S6 k4 n/ UAntec you picked up? The parts you received from RMA either a) worked
@, c" @: ^7 w3 `; J3 dproperly in their lab after repair, or b) were sent as working
! g5 t3 J6 f1 ~9 K% g+ qreplacements for the parts you sent to them. Either way, they should9 I& X$ h8 B' U/ b7 W& O& F& Y
function correctly. Since you had a problem initially when using the4 E+ h0 [+ K7 a" {& w
Antec, and now are having what looks like static problems, perhaps# B3 g8 r& e% [# l2 s
that particular power supply has issues of its own.

% m9 z7 A d' C/ hRegarding the TV out problem: Make sure the television is turned on
) T5 b3 \! n0 U/ X0 zand connected to the card before turning on the computer. You may also
: p0 L6 J/ _ H8 mwant to try a different video cable to see if that helps.

: C' C0 Q2 I8 d9 L2 E4 ^% a& VIf a different power supply doesn't help the condition of the boards,+ |3 e, y$ L0 f4 L' A
unfortunately the only option left is to contact RMA once again.4 Y& L5 W3 P( c3 T
